Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Surgery - Day New

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Location: Evanston. IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays Fridays - 5:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (3)12-hour shifts
• Rotation into on-call shifts - (3-4 weeknight & 3 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period)
  
  

What You Will Do

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for the PACU and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
• ECT patients will be scheduled at the beginning of every shift; remaining part of shift will care for the surgical PACU patient population
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
  
  

What You Will Need

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR & ACLS Certification for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association required; PALS required. Will help certify for PALS if you don't have it upon start.
• Experience: PACU, Critical Care or Emergency Department RN experience required.
